Monday night with comrades at KOMRAD

(In my sincerest tone) I supposed there is nothing above the word ‘chill’ when you're elsewhere and having dinner with your "friends"; particularly, when it was scheduled on the first day of the week. Winner!

Like last three Mondays ago, I and blog friends were invited to dine at KOMRAD Mao's Hunan & Sichuan Kitchen, sited at 2/F Eastwood Mall Veranda, Eastwood City Cyberpark in Bagumbayan Q.C.

KOMRAD Mao's Hunan & Sichuan Kitchen was established in August 2011 that offers Asian cuisine which concentrates in Hunan and Sichuan style of cooking.

The label Komrad simply means comrade - that has something to do with Mao Zedong, the pride and joy of KOMRAD. While the design, noticeably inspired by the 'Maoist' era.

And here’s a number of satisfying victuals from KOMRAD. . .

Chilled Tofu with Pork Floss, P225

This is so inviting! The soft and supple combination of Chinese tofu and century egg with brown*ish 'fiery' pork floss interests me.

Mama Noodles, P198

Not included in the menu, so I'm thinking this is *new.

As you can see, the toppings (fried egg strips and veggies) are wide-open while the noodles are missing. (^_^)v  It's not that we're hungry... we're just excited to eat this dish that's why we didn't get the chance to mix it, so just picture what it looks like after the mix. (^_~) But it's yummy!

Sichuan Fried Eggplant with Pork Strips, P198

When you look at this dish it's fairly simple but this one is really tasty and very light. But I think it's more exciting when it's prepared like a rice in bowl.

Komrad Rice, P198
And the other entrees that's all good even at first glance but I dare not to eat because I'm satisfied with the concoctions above. . .

Sichuan Osso Buco, P288
Fried Whole Fish Hunan Style, P398
Sichuan Garlic Black Bean Ribs, P365
And to balance the all meat... here comes the sweets! :D

Toffee Banana Fritters, P98
Monggo Balls with Soup, P88
The monggo balls is made of sticky rice (like in palitaw) is soaked in lemon soup. Like when you finished eating the balls you can sip the soup right after, or the opposite way, or do it like sabay-sabaw. So for me, this is something fun and unique!
Tsingtao (Chinese beer)
Yes, I'm one of the boys that night ^_^ with Alex, Enzo, Flow and Jeman.
"Xie xie" Komrad & Team and of course Ms. Xchosa "Ganbei!"

Delivers within Eastwood Area ONLY.

* Happy Eating! *
