My first stop at BonChon Chicken.

I haven’t been to Makati for a while, particularly in Ayala Ave. I greatly missed that place because I worked there for almost two years – as in full time! Thus, I only recognized the place where I had my job, and the site where manong driver would drop me off, and that’s the building next to our office’ building. PFT!

Good thing that on a certain occasion, I have gone to experience the 'city life', and I came by the street of Ayala once again, once more. Sweet!

Like two Saturdays ago, I spent my weekend with a bunch of bloggers for an indescribable chicken event – a fact that I can provide so far – at BonChon Chicken branch in Makati.

I in fact braved the rain just to make it through since I long to savor those irresistible dishes!

Ginger Tofu Salad
To begin with, we had this caesar salad style called ginger tofu salad with fried wanton strips and sesame sauce. This can be shared and cost for only P125.00. Given that it’s salad and veggies syempre I love it! Also the crunchy wanton strips as well as the sesame sauce that blends well after the ‘shake shake shake’ fad, only at BonChon.

Spicy Glaze Chicken & Soy Garlic Chicken
With respect to their ‘best-sellers’, BonChon Chicken didn’t want us to linger any further so they presented it next in line.

The highly spiced taste of spicy glaze chicken overpowered the tang of soy garlic chicken that’s why I can’t make a good judgment for it. But what interests me most is the sweetness and the brittle feeling of their chicken. Saka it looks as if it’s greasy but it’s not, and it’s really addictive!

By the way, the special chicken sauce are made of premium spices, blended in Korea.

Calamari
For the unusual part of set there's also a calamari, P125.00.

Fish Taco
To give you an idea about the fourth kind, that's fish taco, for only P75.00! I find it hard to eat though because my lips' is quiet small. Kidding. And oh, we put the calamari sauce instead of its usual paste. For a change. hehe

Bulgogi Rice
Last but not least, the bulgogi rice, P125.00

My friend who's teaching English for Koreans told me that bulgogi is Korea's "barbeque" and I just can't believe that I ate this inside our country! Me so babaw.

But at least I can fight my thoughts going to Korea just to have this authentically. I spent too much thinking about that actually, it's because my other friend fires me up to do so -- for food sake!

Thank God for I don't have 'greens'. We're not weirdos, we just like to dine -- in Korea. AHEM. Hihi... Anyhoo, I'll surely recommend BonChon Chicken to her . . .

Kamsahamnida BonChon for bringing in Korean chows (with fitting charges) and The Original Korean friend chicken in Manila! I will definitely go back for more...
