My mom received a letter from Nestle
Club four months ago. Of course I browse it a little and then I found this Mechadong Cheesy recipe.
Here is how to do it.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 1-1 1/2 hours
Ingredients
1 kg beef camt0, cut into cubes
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp calamansi juice
1 8g Maggi Magic Sarap
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2 tbsp chopped onion
1 cup water
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup grated
quick-melting cheese
1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
Procedure
- Marinate beef in soy sauce, calamansi juice and Maggi Magic Sarap for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil, saute garlic and onion until limp. Stir-in beef with marinade. Cover and bring to a boil.
- Pour in water and continue cooking over low heat or until beef is tender or for about 1 1/2 hours. Add more water if necessary. Add in tomato sauce.
- If using a pressure cooker. Saute beef directly on the pressure cooker. Do the same procedure up to the adding of tomato sauce. Cover and secure pressure cooker
. Cook for 40 minutes. Begin timing when pressure cooker starts to whistle. After 40 minutes, let the pressure cooker release steam before opening. Open lid carefully and follow the instructions below.
- Simmer
beef for another 15 minutes or until sauce is slightly thick. Transfer beef to an oven proof dish. Top generously with grated cheese. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree pre-heated oven for 10-15 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve warm.
