Experience Flavors of Thailand at Marriott Hotel Manila

I'm a self confess food lover, however I’m a one heck picky person. I also admit that sometimes I get suya of the usual cookings at home. Even if I hunted food for no reason, still I sought after the taste. And that I presume, why there is an eating place or a restaurant to make banquet outside everybody’s home.

I know it’s a blessing for me/ us to eat at least three to four times a day or even so (and I thank God for that), but what I wanted to say is that, I’d like to taste the food outside the median and experience “living the life to the fullest” at least once in a while.

And so to fulfill my food cravings more out of the ordinary, it was by chance that I was invited to savor a unique cuisine from one of the impressive hotels here in the Philippines, which features the Flavors of Thailand for the whole month of August this year.

In partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Embassy of Thailand and Thai Airways, Marriott Hotel Manila introduces the prosperous and peerless flavors of Thailand, prepared by Thai Chef Thanathorn Krobsuay, who flew in all the way from JW Marriott Bangkok – one of the most up to date Marriot properties in Asia, giving out his proficiency in Thai food that captives every guests appetites and shortly overlook about greediness.

(L-R: Ms. Savannah Santiago, Marketing Communications Assistant - Marriott Hotel Manila & Thai Chef Thanathorn Krobsuay)

So invite your family and as well as your friends to try out and make feast with one of the Asia’s most choice fares the Thai food, at Marriott Hotel Manila.

"Thai food varies wildly from superb street food to courtly traditional banquest, to insipid pretenders that tone down spice levels and modify tastes to suit Thailand’s legions of foreign taste buds." -RD

So just to give you a chili rundown of my bloated belly, here is what I ate.

Strawberry and Mango Infusion (Twinings)

A glass of cocktail drink with lots of ice is so refreshing!

Glass Noodle Salad (is in the center of my buffet plate)

Okay I'm a weirdo, but as I tasted this *Sotanghon made salad, (I think) I made myself into deep thinking from what was the ingredient that overpowers the chili flavor which compliments my (foreign) taste?!

Anyways, this is the Salad Bar...

... in there, you'll find these: sliced cucumber, young corn, carrot, Parmesan cheese, bread stick, and etc.

(Salad 1) This salad is made of sprouts, bell pepper, chicken, etc.

This one is really appetizing, I tell you.

(Salad 2) This salad is made of pork, mango, bell pepper, tomato, onions, etc.

And from these appetizing salads, let's go on with the main stream.

Spicy Wok Fried Seafood

That is noticeably a mixed seafood meal made of squid, tahong, shrimp and the entire spicy tang that I barely even know. I super like this one! (Isn't it obvious? *referring to the photo below)

(Spicy Wok Fried Seafood with Thai Rice)

Again this is my Thai buffet plate ^^, looks yummy e?
I made this myself! Plating is so fulfilling. haha!

Pad Thai (stir fried noodle with seafood)
Considered a national dish consists of fried noodles, eggs, bean sprouts, shrimp, chicken, and tofu combined with oriental ingredients such as tamarind juice, hot chili, and fish sauce producing a nutty, pungent taste.
This one is vague. The noodles are so gummy bear like 'cause once you started chewing it, you just can’t get enough of it.

So after being satisfied savoring some of the main courses, I’d like to show you some photos of the foods that I did not eat, as I set myself for the Thais desserts! (mmm)

Green Curry with Chicken

Deep Fried Pork Canapes.. and some more!

And so before long, I'm saving all my appetite for the Kanom Thai Ruam (selections of Thai royal desserts) that has an amusing sweet and salty balance of tastes. Usually made of coconut milk based or sweet sticky rice, all desserts feature most piquant Asian ingredients and recipes.

Mango Sago

Lemon Sorbet (with toppings: nuts, mallows, etc)

This is a water based and home-made ice cream! This could help you slow down the after taste from the main dishes. Again, I made this myself (.^^,)

Strawberry Mousse

Since I'm into strawberry flavor nowadays, why not try this cake right? I like!

Rhum Cake

Chocolate Mousse

Pumpkin with Thai Custard

Oops, have I pushed myself enough? Okay then here’s more.
Diners who avail of the Flavors of Thailand buffet also get a chance to win a pair of roundtrip tickets to Thailand courtesy of the Thai Airways and Tourism Authority of Thailand. The prize trip includes a three-night stay with breakfast at the Rennaisance Koh Samui Resort and Spa Thailand.
